Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hampshire Mint?

Hampshire Mint produces handcrafted .999 fine copper bullion bars with a distinctive industrial finish. Each design is created in the United Kingdom and produced in limited mintages for collectors and copper stackers around the world.

What metal are your bars made from?

All Hampshire Mint bars are made from .999 fine copper, meaning they are 99.9% pure copper.

Where are the bars made?

Hampshire Mint bars are designed and engraved in the United Kingdom. Production takes place in small batches to maintain quality and the distinctive industrial character of each bar.

Are the bars minted or hand finished?

Hampshire Mint bars are handmade and laser engraved, giving each bar a slightly unique industrial finish. This is part of their character and appeal to collectors.

Are the bars individually numbered?

Some Hampshire Mint releases include space for a serial number or identification mark. This may vary depending on the design and production run.

What does “limited mintage” mean?

Limited mintage means only a fixed number of bars are produced for each design. Once the mintage is sold out, that design will not be produced again.

Will the copper change colour over time?

Yes. Copper naturally develops a patina as it reacts with air and moisture. Many collectors appreciate this as it gives the bar additional character. Bars can also be polished if a brighter finish is preferred.

How are the bars packaged?

Bars are sealed in protective packaging to help preserve their condition during storage and shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Hampshire Mint ships worldwide and already serves collectors in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia.

Shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days if the item is in stock, if the item is on pre order or if we are facing exceptionally high demand then lead times will increase, Delivery times vary depending on the destination country and shipping method selected.

Are copper bars considered investment bullion?

Copper bullion is primarily collected for its industrial metal value, collectibility, and design appeal. Many collectors enjoy stacking copper alongside precious metals such as silver and gold.
